Twilight

Thanks to Selena, I've jumped on the bandwagon and started reading Twilight 2 nights ago. and just like my niece, it's my new favourite obsession!! ;-) I had to ditch my lunch buddy today just so I could finish the book. (Mission accomplished!) A lot of people are comparing it to Harry Potter. No, there's no witches, wizards or magic, but I would compare it like the easy read the Harry Potter series has where you can read cover to cover over night. It's more a coming of age love story with a twist. To be young, in love, and a vampire!! Am I making you want to read it yet?! I'm not sure whether I want to watch the movie just as yet, as i'm not ready to let my own imagination of the book be clouded by images from the movie, just like it did with the HP series. I think I'll read the next book first before I do watch. I know Selena is in the middle of the second book now, but I'm trying to figure out how I can borrow the book from her, as I don't think I can wait for her to finish it before I can start reading!

Sandwiches from St. Lawrence Market make me happy!

Yesterday I found myself off of work early for an appointment. I wasn't sure how I was going to get home after the appointment as it was in scarborough and I knew by the time I would be done, my dad would have to pick up the kids from school. So I decided to head back downtown early to catch my usual 4:18 train and head to St. Lawrence Market. I made it back to Union by 3 and I could have easily caught the 3:15 bus home, but couldn't resist the thought of Chicken Parmegiana sandwiches! I picked up 4 sandwiches, as I knew I couldn't go home without some for my sister, dad and Euge. I had some time left before my train so I decided to eat half the sandwich there at the market before leaving. Soon as I was done the half, (and yes only the half, cause if i had the whole one, I wouldn't have been able to walk back to the station!) I decided, I had to pick up a fifth sandwich! Needless to say, my detour back downtown was well worth it, and I know that today I will have a very happy lunch!
