So on my daily walks to Union station along Yonge I see quite a few characters along the street. Yes, of course, there's the usual hobo holding their hat in their hand asking for change or there's the sidewalk chalk artists creating a new materpiece on the corner of Yonge and Dundas. Every day I see the same guys trying to give me a Black History Month pamphlet, (I know they see me walking everyday, so if I didn't grab one yesterday, what makes them think I'll take one today, tomorrow, or the day after that?!) and there's the guy that works at Richtree that has his smokebreak everyday at 3:45 outside the magazine shop. But today I had a bit of a giggle... I'm nearing towards the corner of Yonge and Richmond and I hear someone yelling and shouting on the other side of the street. As I get closer, I see a short lady standing by the corner, ipod in her ears, and completely belting a tune! There's other folks on their smoke breaks having a giggle as well. By the time I get to the corner, it turns out that she's preaching as well... I guess she's got a little sermon going on.. but it wasn't really her that gave me the giggle as much as the tourists on my side of the street a little ahead of me standing and watching her doing her thing. (camera around the neck+white walking sneakers+map+foreign language=tourist) They had the most confused look on their faces as they were watching her... so by the time I get over and start to walk past them, I simply say "welcome to Yonge St!"
