Busy, busy, busy

So I know I haven't been that diligent in updating this blog. I've been looking over my previous blogs and I can't believe i never mentioned anything about the months of May, June and July. Basically, May, June, and July are BUSY!! I've been granted the honour of being a maid of honour,TWICE... exactly 1 month apart. So I've been busy planning bridal showers, a baby shower(my sister's) and my trips.. did I mention that they were both destination weddings?? (My first wedding in June is in Domincan Republic and the July is in California.) But I'm done my first bridal shower (a great success if i say so myself!) and now starting to plan for my sister's baby shower. We've also got the girls dance recitals coming up, dress fittings, more wedding luncheons and than finally vacations/weddings!! I think I've only come home right after work maybe 3 times over the past 2-3 weeks. How does the saying goes?? So much to do, so little time... Which reminds me I need to order food for next week... what am i wasting my time blogging for?? I have things to do!!!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY ADDY!!

My second god-daughter is celebrating her 1st birthday today!! I still remember waiting by the phone when Marie was in labour... And when Addison was born, James and I tried to surprise her with a visit from me, but of course being the Cruzada that we are, James and I couldn't keep our mouth shut! She's grown quite a bit from that first visit when she was only a few weeks old! We miss you and love you, Addy! We wish we could be there to celebrate your 1st birthday today!

Turning twenty-nine

At first I didn't think my birthday was going to start off on the right foot. First of all, I had to work. Every year I try to take my birthday off but since I've got quite a few vacations lined up this year I couldn't afford to take the one day. Secondly, I had forgotten the key to my office at home and had to ask security to open me up! But it began to look better as on my desk was a gift waiting for me from my co-workers! They got me a beach bag that will definitely come in handy when I go to Domincan next month. To top my work day off I got a pot of flowers from the research nurse and a mexican lunch from the same workers that got me my bag! On the way home from the GO station, my kids, Rayanne and Auntie Marie met me at the end of our street with this lovely bouquet they picked special just for me! :) My dad treated us to a swiss chalet dinner (only after asking me to pay for my own bday dinner!) and cake. And then finally a few drinks with the gang. It was a good birthday, and if turning 29 was this good, I guess I shouldn't be too afraid to turn 30 next year!
