MIA

I know it's been quite awhile since I've blogged. The summer has been pretty busy for all of us. Arrest me if you will! SO I guess I'll try my best to update as to what i've been up to. I won't cheat and post 5-10 blogs all at once, but hopefully try to do one long-a** blog! Here goes....

1. As I stated before, Hannah and I went to Cali for Marie's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and I'm glad Hannah and i had the priveledge to be a part of it. Yes, Marie kept me busy the minute I got off the plane, but she still let me visit with all the family!

2. The day we got back from Cali, I went straight from the airport to the hospital as Euge went in for the first of a series of eye surgeries. Although I was in a complete jet-lagged daze, I think I still managed to take good care of my baby-daddy/fiance!

3. This summer, we were lucky enough to spend some time with my cousin Jeff and his daughter Jessica. As Jessica is 6 months younger than Benjoe, it was great watching the 2 of them play and build a friendship. They never really got a chance to say bye to each other when they went back home to Philly, but it's nice to hear that Benjoe stills asks for her and vice versa. I can't believe I never got a picture of these 2 together cuz by the end of the summer they ended up being the best of friends!

4. My parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this summer. To commemerate the occasion we took them to Ruth Chris steakhouse for dinner. This year was the first time Euge and I ever went to Ruth Chris and taking my parents ended up being our 3rd time this year! And the year isn't even over yet! If ever we burn a hole in our pockets it will be if we go a fourth time this year!.. but we have no plans to go... thank God! anyway, congrats Mom and Dad!

5. After Cali, Hannah was enrolled for 2 weeks in swimming classes. She did pretty well and got the pass to the next level. The lessons paid off as we were able to go to Jessen's 1st birthday party at Agincourt pool. If it weren't for those lessons, I probably never would have let Hannah go down the yellow water slide.

6. We went on our annual trip to CNE. The kids enjoyed going on all rides of course, although benjoe was a little reluctant at first, he warmed up fast when he saw how much fun his ate was having on the rides. Euge and i enjoyed the food, but this year we decided to try something different since they had a ribfest thie year at the EX. I'm glad euge decided to give it a try since he never wants to go when i try drag to any other ribfest! (why go to a ribfest when he makes the best ribs! :-P)

7. One of the most exciting things, was that my niece Emma was born on August 18. She was 3/4 weeks early but was still healthy. I didn't think that I would be in the hospital when my sister went into labour, but since Emma made an early appearance, Eric wasn't able to make it to the hospital in time. It was weird being there, only because Renn had gotten an epidural and we didn't really go through the "labour" part of the birth. I had naps, watched some tv, so needless to say I got a little anxious when the "ball started rolling!"

8. Euge tried to squeeze in some fishing time and took us, my parents and the King's with us. The kids loved it, as the've been asking their dad all summer long to take them fishing. Euge was afraid to give Benjoe a hook as he'd probably take out someone's eye on the boat! Which is a good thing since the entire time he was asking me or my mom to untangle his line... but the asking stopped once he dropped his rod in the lake!

9. Back to school!! As usual, I took the first day of school off. I made my traditional chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and took the annual picture of Hannah outside the house. I missed the celebratory brunch with the other St. Julia parents, but only to make a little trip to Ikea! :-) But I'll be sure to check in with them next year as we'll be sending Benjoe off next year to JK... (I can't believe how time flies!)

10. Hannah was lucky to be another flower girl for her Ninong Tim and Lou's wedding. Another beautiful wedding and it was also nice to see some of the relatives from California attend the wedding here in TO.

11. We helped the King's move in to their new home. They too are now "up north" in Markham. Welcome to the neighbourhood, King's!

...yes, I'm running out of steam...

12. Euge had his other surgery, and I'm glad that he's healing alot faster than he did the first time.

13. Marie and Addy are back in town for a visit. We have a bit of a hectic schedule trying to fit in some "marie and addy" time but we were able to have our beloved mexican night last night. It was nice spending some time altogether like old times but we ended the night pretty early at 11!. I guess with age (and kids!) our nights get a little tamer.

Which brings me to today...up next... NKOTB concert tomorow with the girls! Oh to live out our childhood again! I had the chance to see them earlier on Thursday with RK but I would feel like I'd be cheating on my logettes if I went with anyone else but them! Hopefully I'll be able to blog about the concert tomorrow and not another 3 months from now.
